Gracie has been involved in some form of music, teaching and performing since childhood, culminating in a music degree in education and fine arts, and a master’s degree in educational technology. Gracie maintains a heavy schedule of performing, rehearsing and teaching private music students as well as teaching full-time at Palomar College in San Marcos, California in the music department and the graphic arts department, and at Miracosta College as the applied oboe professor.
Currently, Gracie performs with the following groups:
- Heart of Texas Concert band, oboe and English horn, San Antonio Texas
- UIW Symphony Orchestra, San Antonio, Texas
- MiraCosta Symphony as principal oboe and English horn and Applied music, oboe professor.
- Palomar College Symphony oboe and English horn and applied music, oboe professor.
- Tustin Ballet Company – Tustin, California – The Nutcracker
- Pacific Lyric Opera Company – Carmen, Rigoletto, Cavalleria Rusticana, La Traviata.
- Pit orchestra musician for numerous professional shows, i.c. Titanic with Moonlight Theater, also Little Women, Oklahoma, Guys and Dolls.
- San Diego Interfaith Orchestra which provides benefit concerts several time a year to provide food and shelter options to homeless individuals in North County.
- Coastal Community Band,
- Palomar College/Pacific Coast Concert band as first oboe and English horn
- Center Chorale Orchestra, Escondido, CA
- Many, many Freelance gigs throughout San Antonio, Texas, San Diego and Orange County, California
